Parent Volunteering

Interested in becoming a Parent Volunteer at one of our campuses or chaperone a field trip? We would love to have you assist us and the scholars with our daily needs!

DuBois Integrity Academy emphasizes and supports the use of parent volunteers within the school community while ensuring the safety of all its scholars!

 

What do I need to become a Volunteer?

The following items do not have to be done in any particular order. Once you have turned in and completed all requirements, we will review the information and you will be contacted with an approval letter if approved.

Volunteer Application

Apply to become a Parent Volunteer by completing our application form which can be found online or at our Church Street and Administrative Office.

Mandated Reporter Training

This valuable online training is available for free any time or day and provide instruction on how to better recognize the indicators of abuse and neglect, understand your role in responsible reporting, and identify the groups of children that may be at a higher risk of being abused or neglected.

Mandated Reporter Training must be completed ANNUALLY.

Confidentiality Agreement

All information that a parent comes across in the classroom is considered confidential and should not be discussed with other students, parents or staff outside of the classroom environment. To protect families at DIA and staff, we require that all volunteers complete a Confidentiality Agreement.

Background Check

Please provide the original background check, not a copy or electronic version. Background checks will be thoroughly reviewed.

Background checks are valid for up to 3 years.

Volunteer Training Classes are hosted every other month (bi-monthly) in-person ONLY..

Turn In Documentation

Once you have all of your documentation, it must be submitted to the Administrative Office located at Church St. Suite 2, Riverdale, GA, 30274 in person

What can I do as a volunteer?

1. Joining and supporting the PTO (coming soon)

2. Volunteer to chaperone an educational field trip.

3. Volunteer in one of the school’s front offices, Playworks or cafeterias.

4. Volunteer for our school’s fundraising campaigns.

5. Volunteer to be a “Reading and Math Buddy.”

6. Volunteer to be a tutor, mentor, or project partner.

7. Volunteer to help in our school’s STEM Lab.

8. Volunteer to help with other school projects.

9. Volunteer my professional skills and expertise.

10. Volunteer to make copies for teachers and students of handouts and other needed classroom materials.

​

Though strongly encouraged but not required, DIA would like a minimum of 30 volunteer hours for the school year.
